Alaap: Change through Arts is a cultural organization working to promote peace in the society of Pakistan through promoting pro-peace cultural heritage and existing arts, who are currently under the onslaught of Violence against Arts by the rising obscurantism in Pakistan. Founded by a group of artists, research workers and writers in November 2005, Alaap is officially affiliated with JMI-International and URI. Alaap works in youth as its principle constituency to promote and interconnect young potential artists with each others and with relevant forums around the world.

After successful completion of the Alaap Peace Campaign, Alaap initiates its second campaign; Clean, Green and Peaceful Lahore (CGPL) as an effort to mobilize the youth, women, minorities, peace activists and other sections of the society in respecting and strengthening their cultural heritage of tolerance, diversity and immense creativity.

The Alaap Lahore Festival of Arts (ALFA-2008) postponed. The Alaap Declaration of Peace and Truth (ADOPT) is attracting the endorsements as the set of agreeable values for all. Please endorse the ADOPT and join us at our Peace Rally on June 14th.
